We require a hotel receptionist who is enthusiastic, guest orientated and an expert task juggler. As the first member of Fence Gate Lodge to welcome our guests its important you make a big impression and get our customers excited about their stay, whether showing off the hotel with a guided tour or remembering Mrs Smith’s passion for afternoon tea.
It doesn’t matter if they’re returning or first time guests, you’ll charm them from the initial welcome to ‘have a safe journey home’ with your impeccable standards of service. Striving to know what someone needs before they even know it themselves, leaving them impressed, reassured and most importantly feeling at home.

Shifts: Shifts are organised according to a rota on a 25-40 week normally working 4 to 5 days out of 7, including weekends, bank holidays, night shifts and Christmas.

Providing a friendly, efficient service and a lasting impression to all guests throughout the evening from security, room service, serving beverages, reservations, setting up function rooms and sprucing up the place ready for the start of a new day.

As our Wedding Planner, you will be the wedding ambassador for Fence Gate & Fence Gate Lodge, being absolutely obsessed with weddings. From handling the initial enquiry, to conducting viewings and planning and coordinating the details of the day, you will be sales driven, highly motivated with impeccable attention to detail and a creative flair.
Who are you?
Ideally experienced working in an event position or busy sales environment with great administration and customer service skills. However, event graduates with a 1st class degree in event management will be considered, as job training will be given.
